...could have started in the fall of 2007 when Allie and Curt were both in a Business Statistics class at the University of Minnesota. However, Allie found Curt to be a bit too talkative and, frankly, annoying. So it didn’t.
It could have started in 2008 when Facebook records document the earliest direct contact,
“Hey, I will be able to help make signs on Monday and volunteer on Tuesday”
“Hey Allie, that’s great you can help out. We’re meeting outside Gate 1. Call me if you have any questions!”
...but it didn’t.
It did, however, start in early 2012 when, after seeing each other more frequently through mutual friends and realizing they had a lot of the same interests, Curt took Allie to a Coffee Brewing class at Peace Coffee. With a mutual love of coffee, travel, PSL’s and Ellie Goulding, their connection was so immediate that they wondered why it had taken this long. So, a few weeks later, Curt had Allie meet his parents. Just kidding! Though they did briefly and accidentally meet when they ran into each other at the Walker Art Center one Sunday afternoon.
Brunch dates, homemade dinners and endless Google chats turned to weekend trips to Chicago, vacations in San Francisco, and adventures to Barcelona and Copenhagen. By the next year, the two were standing in line at the Room & Board Outlet purchasing a couch for their new apartment together.
